Now, an adult with three children, the bank teller, Michael Banks, learns that his house will be returned in five days, unless he can repay a loan. His only hope is to find a missing certificate that demonstrates the valuable participation that his father left him years ago. Just as everything seems lost, Michael and his sister get the surprise of their life when Mary Poppins, the beloved nanny of her childhood, arrives to save the day and take the Banks family to a magical and fun adventure.

Mary Poppins Returns is a 2018 American musical fantasy film directed by Rob Marshall, with a script written by David Magee and a story by Magee, Marshall and John DeLuca. Based on PL Travers’ book series, this 1964 sequel to Mary Poppins stars Emily Blunt as the character of the same name, with Lin-Manuel Miranda, Ben Whishaw, Emily Mortimer, Julie Walters, Dick Van Dyke, Angela Lansbury , Colin Firth and Meryl. Streep in supporting roles Van Dyke is the only actor in the original who returned, portraying the son of one of his original characters. Set in the 1930s in London, two decades after the events of the original film, Poppins, the former nanny of Jane and Michael Banks, returns after a family tragedy.
The film was officially announced on September 14, 2015. Marshall was hired later that month, and Blunt and Miranda were aired in February 2016. Filming lasted from February to July 2017 and took place at Shepperton Studios in Surrey, England.
Mary Poppins Returns had its world premiere at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles on November 29, 2018, and will be released in the United States on December 19, 2018.
